ensure that you receive everything you are entitled to.
2) Filing a claim is a tedious, time-consuming and aggravating process. Our insurance claims specialists will take this burden off your shoulders and free you to get your business or home affairs back on track. During this time, most do not have the presence of mind to spend hours on inventory itemization and arguing with your insurance company over whether something should "just be repaired" rather than replaced.
3) You are at the mercy of the insurance company. Keep in mind, as someone untrained in handling insurance claims, you will be dealing with insurance "professionals,’’ who are over worked and late to get to his next appointment, that will cause him to make mistakes. Costing you money! Our insurance claims specialist will be there assisting the adjuster, making sure nothing is missed. He will know exactly what it will cost to repair the damage. He will find damage that the untrained eye will otherwise not see. He is working with your best interest at heart as he takes the entire picture into account and fights for you down to the last penny. He is also well diversed with what the insurance company wants so that he can present his findings and will know how to present your claim for maximum success!

Is there anything I can do if I have already received a payment for my claim but I think it is too low? |
Absolutely! Our insurance claims specialist can re-open your file and renegotiate it with your insurance company. |
How do I file a claim with my insurance company? |
You should call your insurance company property claims office and submit a hail, wind, and flood claim, or let us filled it for you so we can be involved in the claims process from the start. You will be assigned an adjuster and a claim number. Your adjuster will call you to set up a time to meet with you and your insurance claims specialist from Crown Remodeling. After signing a contingency with Crown Remodeling, our insurance claims specialist and the adjuster will jointly inspect your property for insured damage. The adjuster will inspect your roof for visible signs of storm damage. If he/she can find sufficient amounts of damage to your roof, your carrier will then pay for a new roof, less the cost of your deductible. Likewise, if your ac unit, screens, gutters or downspouts and anything else on your property are dented, you will be compensated for the replacement of "like and kind" quality. |
How does hail and wind damage affect my property? |
High winds and quarter-size hail or larger can cause substantial damage to roofs, ac units and gutters. It only has to hail for a few seconds for property to sustain damage. Damage to a roof is not always visible from the ground. Strong wind gusts can rip off shingles causing exposure of roofing underlayment and eventual leaking. Wind-driven hail causes composition asphalt roofs to suffer granule loss. Granule loss causes premature UV sun-related cracking of the protective asphalt underlayment decreasing the life expectancy of your roof. Hail breaks apart brittle cedar roofs and breaks loose poorly nailed shake(s) exposing the underlying felt paper to the weather elements. Hail can create hair line fractures on cedar shakes and hail-splits, which are often only visible by physically inspecting each individual shake. These hairline fractures allow water into your roof and decrease the life of your roof. Wind-driven hail damages exterior soft metal items such as ac unit radiators, wind turbines, aluminum gutters and downspouts. Hail collapses the exterior of your ac unit causing it to work much harder cooling your home, which can burn out the motor. Frequently, this damage is difficult to see until a trained expert examines your property. Have the exterior of your home inspected by one of our professionals to be safe. |
Is this a Scam? Are you cheating my insurance company? |
Absolutely not! Neither Crown Remodeling nor you can convince an insurance company to payout thousands of dollars for storm repairs unless the damage is identifiable and significant enough to satisfy predetermined thresholds established by your carrier. All we can do is provide an expert eye during the adjustment process to assure that any and all damage sustained by your property are properly identified and compensated for in the adjustment process. |
Will my premiums be increased if file a storm claim? |
No. Individual insurance rates are not adversely affected by filing a claim for storm-related damage. Storm claims are deemed an "Act of God" under the terms of your policy, and as such, your individual premium cannot increase. Will failing to identify and repair my home for hail damage affect its future resale value? Yes. If your home is located in an identified storm damaged area it will be flagged by an appraiser during the resale process. During resale, your home will be inspected for hail related damages. If your home is found to possess non-repaired damages, the resale value of your home will be lowered accordingly. |
